Children 15 months to 8 years
Nido welcomes ages 15 months to 3 years. Children's House welcomes ages 4 to 8.
Families brand-new to Spanish
No Spanish at home? Your child will still follow along. Songs, gestures, and props carry the meaning from the first morning.
Families who already speak Spanish
A week to keep the language strong over the break and celebrate the cultures behind it.
Parents working through school vacation
Full days from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with extended care available until 5:00 PM.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
I grew up in Venezuela, surrounded by Spanish: its songs, its rhythms, its way of pulling people close. When I had my two daughters here, I knew they would grow up with that warmth too.
It started in my kitchen. They were my first students.
That was 2009. Those songs became ABC Spanish in Motion, then a Montessori school in 2014, and today three campuses in Newton and West Roxbury. Vacation week brings the same teachers, the same music, and the same welcome our families know all year.

THE ABC SPANISH IN MOTION METHOD
Learning Spanish the way they learned to talk
Every vacation day runs on ABC Spanish in Motion, the music-and-movement method Jouveth created in 2009. Children hear Spanish, act it out with their whole bodies, and sing it until it belongs to them.

The songs carry each day's vocabulary on Caribbean rhythms and Latin American traditions. Every child goes home with the season's music recording, so the singing keeps going in the car.

We have attended a number of music programs in the past and I find that none compare to this. The program is so rich in music themes which vary from season to season, it is very diverse in culture thus it incorporates sounds and rhythms from all over Latin America and Spain, and most of all I find it very engaging with the teachers enthusiasm and energy… I love love love this program. My daughter attends many different activities but this is by far the one I love the best. QUESTIONS PARENTS ASK · SPRING VACATION 2027
Before you register.
My child doesn't speak Spanish. Will they be lost?
No. Our teachers speak only Spanish, and songs, gestures, props, and movement make every word clear. On day one children understand much more than they can say. That's normal, and it's how the language takes root.
Is vacation week only for SIMS students?
No, the holiday program for the winter session is open to the community; some of the participants are SIMS students, but during this period, the school is open to other friends as well.
Which program is right for my child?
Nido is for ages 15 months to 3 years. Children's House is for ages 4 to 8.
What should my child bring?
Snack and lunch, indoor shoes, and extra clothing (in case things get dirty or wet)
Does my child need to be potty trained?
For Nido (15 months to 3 years), independent toilet use is not required. For Casa de Niños (4 to 8 years), children must be fully potty trained.
Is extended care available?
Yes, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM for $35 per day.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes. Sibling rates are $460 for Nido and $410 for Children's House.
What if my campus doesn't reach minimum enrollment?
Each site needs a minimum enrollment to open. If we need to combine locations, we'll let you know two weeks before the program starts.
