REGISTRATION FORM - Winter Vacation Programs 2024
During Vacation Week, SIMS and the ABC Spanish in Motion program will offer an experience for children 15 months -6 years old. The program is designed to introduce children to the Spanish language and cultures, and help children with Spanish exposure improve their communication skills.

When: Tuesday Feb 20 – Friday Feb 23

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

An Extended day option from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM is available for an additional $30 per day.

The vacation program offers an opportunity for children to begin to learn and practice Spanish in an immersive and cultural context. Children will sing, make music, play games, and crafts related to winter. They will learn about wintertime in Latin America.
- This course provides an experience of learning Spanish in a supportive environment that is reinforced through original music recorded by ABC Spanish in Motion for our classes.
- We aim to create a positive first (or second) impression to learning Spanish and meeting elements of Spanish cultures. We use a child's natural desire to explore and play to learn through the use of songs, rhymes, stories and games.
- Parents will provide children with a peanut-free lunch.
- Registration will close on January 18th (Payment deadline)
TUESDAY

Wintertime in my Town / El Invierno en mi Ciudad

Children will learn about different wintertime activities and everyday items such as colors, shapes, clothing, manners, opposites, commands.

WEDNESDAY

Dress for Snow and Rain / Ponte Ropa para La Nieve y La Lluvia.

Children will learn about wintertime clothing and fun activities or sports. The target vocabulary will be correlated with clothing and parts of the body (hands, feet, etc.)

THURSDAY

Let's have fun in the snow!

Children will enjoy building a snowman and making an igloo inside or outside if weather allows it.FRIDAY

Let’s cook!

Cooking with toddlers will allow them to have sensory experiences while creating something edible. It’s a great way for practicing fine gross motor skills. They also get to see what goes in their food.

Policies and Details
Payment & Registration: Enrollment requires both a completed registration form and payment received by SIMS Newton Corner . Payment should be made by sending a check (payable to SIMS of Newton Corner) to our address below. The session will open only with a minimum level of enrollment. The winter, spring or summer program will open only with a minimum level of enrollment. In the event that the chosen site doesn’t have a minimum of 10 children enrolled a combined location will be announced two weeks prior to the start day. (For instance if Newton Highlands doesn't have a minimum of children enrolled the camp may run at SIMS Waban or at SIMS Corner. Refunds & class Cancellation: If a session is canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be issued. A partial refund less a $150 enrollment fee may be issued only if written notice is given before the session starts. There will be no refunds once the session begins. Missed classes will not be refunded. Medical permission: I understand that by signing this document, and the event of a medical emergency, I hereby give ABC Spanish In Motion and SIMS permission to administer basic first aid and CPR, and enlist the aid of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs/Ambulance) who may transport my child(ren) to a hospital to receive treatment deemed necessary by medical staff. Arrival: SIMS and ABC are not responsible for children prior to arrival or after departure from the Spanish Spring Camp. Departure: I understand I will notify SIMS staff of any changes related to my child(ren)’s release. I understand SIMS and ABC will not release my child(ren) to another person without my consent. There is a $5 usd/per minute fee for late pick up.
